Having Tough Time MOS and even Branch.?
The cool thing about the Guard is that you know which unit you are going to be drilling with. I would HIGHLY recommend that you find out when your prospective unit is going to be drilling and go hang out with them for a weekend. Get the following information. What is the unit strength? If it is less than 80 or 90 percent I would consider a different unit. In the guard soldiers can transfer units. If the Military Intelligence unit you are considering is a bad unit, their strength will be low. Find out if they are on alert for mobilization. Have they just come back from duty overseas anywhere? Where do they usually do their annual training missions? I traveled all over Europe with my national guard unit. If you are thinking about being a police officer, why don't you join a Military Police national guard unit? You could get a head start on training as a police officer. Just something to consider.
