Yes, Vaseline works, it also works as mascara. If she Puts a very small amount of eyeliner on, and rubs it in, it will look natural. Its not very good for your skin for three reasons: first, removing makeup everyday will make you get more wrinkles, and make you get them earlier ( because it stretches out your skin), second, is every day, she applies and removes eye liner or mascara it will make alot of her eyelashes fall out, and third, its more likely to have pimples, and bumps on her skin.
