JP Morgan Chase affected by recession?

I'm just wondering how much efffect the recession might be having on the banking giant Chase; Because I have to take out one more big student loan with them in May to hold me over until I graduate in may of 2010 and don't know what I'll do if I can't get it. But I've never been turned down by them and took one out with them as recent as December. I know alot of huge bank have been turned upside down by the economy and just want to know if Chase feeling any of the ripples or not, thanks.
