Dazzle DVC 100 recorder help!!?

I just recently bought a dazzle DVC 100 recorder to record my gameplay. When i set everything up correctly and open pinnacle instant dvd recorder i see ( on the cp screen ) what im seeing on my tv. So then i record after im doing recording i convert the video with this program so i can rewatch it on windows movie maker. Once i add commentary to gameplay play using windows movie maker and then after i publish it i go to check if it turned out right and half the what i have on the bottom is green fuzzy static and the top is the game play but squished into the other half of the screen . And the quality is horrible. Can someone please help me!!!
