Do Fedoras look stupid on girls?

don't know...I have a very bohemian look, and I love wearing hats and stuff. But I've seen Britney Spears wear them, and it looks stupid as hell. What do you guys think? What should I wear it with to keep it from looking either too 'costumey' (in the bohemian sense) or too "lame pop star"? Pics are welcome- thanks for isting me in my desperate quandary. :)
