How long do I wait for a proposal?

It all depends on the people. My aunt was with her husband for 7 years before he proposed. I think he wanted to wait until he got out of college and got a good job so he could give her everything perfectly. she didn't mind waiting. But it all depends on how long you are willing to wait.
