Will tanning help even out my fair skin?

INO ino ino everyone will say tanning is bad INO! i dont even go tanning anyway im talking about laying on the beach with sunscreen and tanning oil and tanning! anyway i have very uneven skin tone and i think its because of my fair skin so i was just wondering if i got tanner wud it help even out my skin tone?
