ask her if she wants to hang out sometime outside of school, and jokingly say that its a date. if she reacts in a way that seems like she wants to go on a date, then after you hang out, talk about the whole thing with her. if she says it should be more like hanging out, and not really a date then just hang out and have fun as friends.
